Major Export-Import Markets:

  • The United States is the largest export market ($88 billion).
  • China is the largest import market ($99.6 billion).
  • Trade Surplus with the U.S. decreased by 14.1%, with the EU decreased by 11.1%.
  • Trade Surplus with Japan increased by 127.2%.
  • Trade Deficit with China decreased by 23.1%, with South Korea decreased by 25.4%, with ASEAN decreased by 31.3%.

 

In Summary: Trade statistics show signs of recovery with export growth, especially in the agricultural and aquatic product group. Although still lower than the previous year, the decline has significantly reduced. The trade balance continues to maintain a surplus. The main markets are the United States and China.
